a little disassembly

Here are some pics I meant to share earlier:
mocking up after the engine was moved back about 5-6''......

Today we spent disassembling........

 After I removed the trim between the roof panel and the back panel, I was bummed to see a little cancer to repair above the rear window.....

 Fuel tank removed.......

 Side panel removed........

 That little pry bar got lots of use.  Can't believe how many little dinky nails there were in the framework of the cab!!!  The drivers side oak was pretty rotten, but the passenger side was not nearly as rotten (and much harder to remove!)

 Roof removed!

 And the back of the cab........

 and the nearly bare frame......

 and now the 3 major parts of the cab have been moved into the basement........

 Maybe we can work on them on the rainy days with them indoors........

It was a long day, but I honestly didn't want to quit!  I think that we are going to be working on the frame really soon now.........
